Very few mortgage loans have pre-payment penalties these days. If you have an older loan, you might. The only way to find out is to call your lender and ask. Most pre-payment penalties on old loans were only for two or three years. I lend in MN WI IA, SD, ND. Find me at JoeMetzler.com. NMLS 274132
