I refinanced a property and the appraisal noted that we had a safety issue concerning proper egress. This caused a lower price in the appraisal. I asked the opinion of the fire department and city officials and they said that we have proper egress. Due to this safety issue during appraisal, we missed the deadline for our locked rate which costs us around $35k over 3 years.
