The Freddie version of HARP, known as Open Access, only requires that 12 months have passed since the discharge of your Chapter 7. Perhaps the lenders you spoke with have what are called overlays. Feel free to contact me via my profile if you would like more information.

If your loan is a truly a Harp loan and you have no mortgage lates in the last 12 months give me a call. I work with borrowers down to a 500 Fico on some of our programs. I have been in the business over 13 years and I would be happy to help. Feel free to contact me. Thanks.

Something isn't right... Contact a local, down the street from you mortgage broker. Have them review your situation. Freddie Mac, on a HARP Refinance, only requires your bankruptcy be 1-year old.
