What does the term investor suspense adjusment mean? by mitchellterry77 from Woodward, Oklahoma. Jun 8th 2011
I've only seen that term on loans that have been modified or are delinquent. The investor is the entity that owns your mortgage (typically FannieMae, FreddieMac, GinnieMae or a group of private investors.) They can assess charges and fees to your servicer (the people who send you your bill) which get passed on to you with cryptic terms such as the "investor suspense adjustment" that you saw. Your best bet is to call your servicer.
You would need to be more specific and give more details as to what you are looking at. Is it your exisiting mortgage statement, a new loan approval?
