How to get a higher loan amount?
I am an educator by profession and I also have a 1099 income from a rental property in Boulder, Colorado. I have student loans at $400 a month and my credit scores are in the low 600s. I applied for a mortgage a few days ago and was told that I could do an FHA for up to $500k with 3.5% down payment. I wanted $650k so I can pay off all personal debts and sell the Colorado home.
