My Equifax credit score is above 700 but my Experian and Transunion scores are bad. How will this impact a HARP loan?

Lenders are going to use your middle credit score to set your rate, so toss out the high and the low and that's what you use for a one borrower sitch. For two borrowers, the lowest middle score of the two borrowers is used. The fact that it's a HARP loan should make no difference at all, either you qualify or don't.

There's bad and then there is BAD. If your middle score is over 620 it's worth checking your options. The lower it is, you may have a somewhat higher interest rate than if it were in the 700's. There are some easy ways to help improve your score like paying down credit card balances to less than 30% of the limit if possible, or at least less than 50%.

Should not impact rate that much..but depends on "how BAD" the other scores are
