I am looking for a lender that deals with people that have a foreclosure and bankruptcy
My husband and I had our home foreclosed on and we also filed bankruptcy in March of 2009. We purchased a home through a land contract in Feb 2009. We had put 15,000.00 down on the land contract. Most banks are saying it is going to be 3 years before we can get the home in our names? Are there lenders out there that can give us a loan sooner? I have started rebuilding my credit. Today most lenders will require that 3 years pass with re-established credit before extending new mortgage credit. However, a reverse mortgage does not have that waiting period because there is no monthly mortgage payment for which to qualify. No credit scoring, no income qualifying and no medical.
