Expect the usual documentation for the purpose of income qualification. Income is required, so plan on providing paycheck stubs and perhaps W-2's and tax returns. VA loans are great, but don't forget that you still need to show income in order to make the monthly mortgage payment, real estate taxes, and all other monthly debts. Oh, and don't forget the priceless DD-214!

The only additional document for a VA loan is a Certificate of Eligibility. Any good VA loan lender is able to obtain that for you. Will will also need all the standard documents: 30-days of pay stubs, last 2-years W2's, Photo ID, and last 2-months bank statements. Sometimes the lender may have to also get your DD214 discharge papers to obtain the COE. Buying in MN or WI? Visit www.VA-IRRRL-Loan-MN.com

Hello Sofia,The documentation is fairly simple on a VA loan. The same documentation that you would require on any mortgage loan plus a few VA required documents. This consists of paystubs, W2's, bank statements, and there are some VA specific documents and forms to fill out as well. The first step is to contact a lender to discuss. I am located in Texas and would be happy to assist you further.

Our team can provide you with all of the proper documentation...even tell you what the parameters of the loan will be with just a few simple pieces of information. We can help you with the leg work. Aside from a few extra items, the requirements for a VA are indeed very similar to the basic requirements for any mortgage.

You will need to provide a certificate of eligibility in addition to the standard documentation required to apply for any mortgage such as tax returns, bank statements, W-2s, driver's license, etc.

About the same as you would need for a standard loan. Possibly a few others as well.
