Help! I just found out that I ?own a property that someone else has been paying the mortage. Unfortunately the house is about to be in forclosure. How is it possible that a house can be in one person's name but mortage paid by someone else?

Does this home has equity in it? Did you purchase this home originally and rented out to someone who was paying the mortgage or is this a fraudulent situation that you have no knowledge of what transpired? Please call me to discuss at 443-742-0946.

You need to consult a Real Estate Attorney for legal advice concerning this issue.

This is SUPER easy - you need to speak to a Real Estate Attorney immediately!!!

I'd love someone else to be paying my mortgage... Joking aside, sounds like you have a mess. We'd need more information to give you any direction, but it sounds like a phone call to a Real Estate Attorney might be a good way to start.

Need more info to address your exact scenario, but in general, if you never signed for a mortgage, and yet there's one out there in your name, you were most likely a victim of loan fraud.. get a copy of your most recent credit report, and call your local police department.. .. I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. 480-287-5714 WilliamAcres.com
