I am interested in purchasing a home for the first time, but am concerned about the 2yr work history. I have been employed for 7months (Sept 2013-Current) as a full time librarian. Prior to that, I was a college student majoring in Library Sciences. I was a college student from 2009-2011. After graduating, I volunteered for 1yr in 2012 at my local library to help beef up my resume while searching for my career job. I have good credit history and about 10k saved up for a down payment. Will the employment history be an issue with the underwriter? Lily JacobsDallas Tx by pernestp@yahoo.com from Destrehan, Louisiana. Apr 20th 2014
You should be ok.
I would consider that acceptable. Good Luck and congratulations on saving up a down payment. Thank will be helpful for you also.
So long as your a w2 paid employee, you should have no issues.. a letter of explanation will most likely be required for the lender to explain your income gap..
