The real answer is NO.. although VA does allow for construction loans, there are not any lenders in Arizona that offer this. However, since you already own the property (assuming there's no lien on the lot), you should have no problem obtaining a regular construction loan. Once the home is completed, you can do a first mortgage. I have a lender that will do a construction to permanent loan. There might even be options using your VA financing to pull out funds at close. To discuss your scenario directly, feel free to reach out to me.. I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. William J. The VA does NOT offer a construction loan!!!!! You need to get a construction loan from someone. Once the home is finished, the construction loan can be paid off with a VA loan. Some lenders will do both for you, making it appear as maybe one - but again, the VA does NOT offer a construction loan.
