Refi texas home equity loan with harp 2.0

I have an existing mortgage, texas homeequity, also known as a6 loan. I have had trouble doing a refi since the cap on this type of loan is 80% ltv. The value has dropped significantly. This is a freddie mac loan. Can i do a harp 2.0 refi now that there is no appraisal required? by efranc_132_663 from San Antonio, Texas. Feb 23rd 2012 Reply

A6 loans do qualify for HARP 2.0. Contact a local mortgage broker, not a bank and apply with them... because of their access to numerous lenders, they can search out the right lender for your particular scenario.. WilliamAcres.com

From what I have researched Yes, contact a local Texas mortgage broker and work with them to get you the best deal out there for your situation...

You cannot refinance a Texas A6 loan using the Freddie version of Harp 2.0 called the Freddie Relief Open Access.
