Greetings, I am in dire need of counsel! My spouse and I have been granted a home loan and are actively in pursuit of our dream home. We possess a remarkable credit score of 750+, among other attributes that qualify us for the loan. HOWEVER, There is a predicament that is impeding our progress. A veterinarian has billed me for services that were never rendered, yet they continue to demand payment and accrue interest on the amount owed. I fear that they will mar my credit score and destroy our prospects of purchasing a home. It feels akin to being coerced into surrendering my possessions to a thief. Despite presenting all the evidence to refute their claim, they remain unyielding. What course of action should I take? Do I acquiesce to their demands to maintain our home buying plans? Should I allow the matter to escalate to debt collectors and settle with them instead, thereby depriving the veterinarians of their ill-gotten gains? Or do I persist in resisting their unjust claim, even if it appears to be a fruitless endeavor? by jenny835 from Arizona City, Arizona. Mar 6th 2023
