Prime lending is a "Mortgage Bank" meaning they only do mortgage lending, they do not offer checking or savings accounts, nor do they offer credit cards or car loans. The bank will do all of these loan types.. Realistically, you far better off using a mortgage broker. The broker only deals with mortgages, and he has access to numerous different lenders, with each one offering a variety of different lending programs. Typically, the broker can offer you better financing options, lower closing costs and lower interest rates than the local bank or the mortgage bank.
