Katrina, there are no seasoning requirements for VA loans but you will have to pay another funding fee, if you like to see if refinancing makes sense you can call me toll free 800-485-1387 Ext. 116 or email ballen@bankofengland1.com
No there are not, and if a funding fee is applicable it will be reduced in some cases it will be waived or the bank can pay it for you. I am a Veteran my self and have been specializing in VA lending since 1998 Click on my link for my contact information and we can discuss things.
None, however each lender requires that there be a net benefit to the borrower.. each lender defines this differently, but it's required so the lender wont be subject to predatory lending suspicion's. Typically, if the monthly savings is enough to pay for your closing costs over 36 to 48 month then you should be fine.. Example: Closing costs are $3600 and your payment is $100 less per month after the refinance. Then $3600/$100=36 months for the refinance to pay for itself. This would be allowed.. I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. William J. Depends whether you are trying to get cash out of the house, or just a better mortgage rate.
