It's not a "hidden" cost, but while first time home buyers seems to understand down payment, they are often times very shocked to learn about closing costs... Appraisal, credit reports, title company costs, state deed taxes, county recording fees, lender related costs, and initial escrow setup. These items add up fast. I lend in ND, SD, MN, WI, and IA. Come visit me at iMortgageJoe.com, get pre-approved, and learn about closing costs. NMLS 274132.

There are no 'Hidden' costs, but there are plenty of 'Unknown' costs. Educating yourself about what buying a new home entails and what expenses you are likely to incur is the best first step you can take. Knowing what is involved makes you a much better buyer/borrower. I'd take Joe up on his offer to learn more about how it works and what it is likely to cost. ~ Bert Carpenter, The LoansA2z Team of NEXA Mortgage ~ NMLS 40586 ~ Licensed in Arizona, California, Georgia, Oregon, and Washington.
