What kind of credit score do you need to get a harp loan?

Hi Meridith, there is no minimum credit score for HARP loans. However, you still need to make sure you and your loan qualify for the HARP program. I would suggest speaking to a loan officer (such as myself) and within a few minutes you will be able to know if you qualify or not. FNMA guidelines say no score is required but Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac don't lend money.. they are a clearing house where loans are sold on the open market.. the lenders, or those with the $$$ will always have a minimum score requirement, and for most they require a 620 or higher.
