I’ve been renting a studio unit from a family member for a decade now and I want to venture into home ownership. I want to apply for a loan before the rates go any higher. I plan to add funds for renovation as part of the loan. Loan amount is around $300k inclusive of closing costs and renovations. I only have 5% for a down payment.
