Are there mortgage lengths longer than 30 years for example by sabdra7846222 from Brimfield, Massachusetts. Oct 13th 2014
Historically, it has been a 30-year loan. For a short period around 10-years ago, you could find a 40-year loan. Those were ridiculously dumb, and don't exist anymore. In my opinion, even the 30-year loan should go away. If people looked at the payment difference between a 20-year loan and a 30-year loan, then factored all the additional interest they pay for extending it out to 30-years - it would cause many people to have a heart attack.
