Which mortgage lender to choose?

We are currently choosing mortgage lenders and we want to know which is better? We are currently with Rocket Mortgage but we are open to credit unions, bank, broker or private lender. We are buying with a budget of $600k and can put down $100k. Is it a good idea to buy now given the current market conditions? by greear613 from Bradley, California. Aug 11th 2022 Reply

1) buying now is a good idea as rates are low ( realtively speaking ) and prices have flattened in many areas 2) regarding lenders - get some referals from friends / co workers/ realtives and call several on the same day and use the same parametns for purchase price / loan amt and credit score - ask for quotes and ask any other questions .....than make a decision to use one lender and get a formal pre approval in place .....depending on your location - you might use a local lender that agents are familair with as this will help with your future offer getting accepted and getting the loan closed on time

Almost without fail, your best deals are going to be with a LOCAL mortgage broker. And almost without fail, your current choice is rarely the best priced. I very strongly suggest you get a quote from the local mortgage broker down the street. You'll be very happy you did. I provide home mortgage loans in MN, WI, IA, ND, and SD.
