Credit restriction are tighter today than they have ever been. There are many people who can afford to purchase a home, are paying too much in rent, but just don't quite meet the credit qualifications. Very often after you have paid a collection off completely it just lingers on your credit report and affects your score.

In order to remove the collection from your credit you need to submit a letter of satisfaction to the three credit bureaus but it can take up to 90 days for them to take action and sometimes even longer for you to see a bump in your credit score.

Here at Envoy Mortgage we offer our clients a Rapid Rescore which is a service provided through our credit vendor which has a direct link to all three bureaus and actually allows us to remove old collections and boost the score immediately as though that collection were never there. We pay for this service as a courtesy to our clients and never pass on the fee; it is free for our clients even if they need to work on their credit a little more and cannot immediately take advantage of the boost in credit.
