So I was having lunch yesterday a Little Ochie Bar and Grill in mount vernon, NY and a customer came in and we got to talking. I was telling her about my business and she started telling me how everyone is saying the real estate business is bad right now as no one is lending.
I found this funny because I being a loan officer knows that loans are closing every day for even clients with less than perfect credit. I started trying to convince her, as I try to do with everyone, that real estate is still the place to be, that having a home of your home is a great investment.
That when you rent your just paying into someone elses investment, that only they will get a return on. However the best comment of the day cam from the restuarant owner when she said. " remember when the ipad came out and so many people were lined up around the corner to purchase one."
What she was talking about is the idea that we are in this big recession were there is no money. But come on, this is America there is always money if you want it, if you work for it, if you invest and allocate your money in the right places.
