Maintain a healthy home by keeping it free of germs and allergens that can cause infections. Following these simple tips around the house will make your home safer and will lead to a better, healthier life.

o Use HEPA (high efficiency particulate air) filters in your vacuum. This prevents dust from being blown back into the air. Don't forget to change to filter when needed.

o Use pillow and mattress protectors to protect your bedding from dust mites.

o Change heating/air conditioning filters regularly. o Always run the exhaust fan when bathing. The fan will help to remove moisture from the room, preventing mold from growing.

o Use a reverse osmosis water filtration system to purify your drinking water.

o Clean the gutters each season to prevent water leaking into the basement.

o The textiles in your home are everyday dust magnets. Consider eliminating some textiles for a more dust free environment.

o Leave your shoes at the door to avoid bringing pollutants inside.

o Avoid plants that are wind-pollinated for an allergen free yard.

o Always investigate if you notice a musty smell in your home. Mold is easiest to remove the sooner you find it.
