I'm a huge proponent of the VA loan, As a mortgage consultant, I work to get the word out about these loans as hard as I can. The VA benefit allows a veteran to use a DD214 to purchase a home, and they can get 100% financing. Not very many loans offer this incentive and it's a loan that comes with no PMI (Premium Mortgage Insurance). If you're looking for a loan that requires no down payment this is the home loan for you (FHA requires a 3.5% down payment) but the VA Loan deosn't require a down payment! Now that is a huge benefit! Veterans must prove eligibility and you still must have a good credit score - if you don't have a good credit score we can help you with that!.

VA Loans and your credit score!

It is extremely important to remember, that the VA loan still requires you to maintain a good credit scores. You must have a 620 credit score and be honorably discharged from the military in order to use this financing. If your credit isn't so stellar don't let that stop you.
