Mortgage Rates 4-13-15

By Carolina Palmer Updated on 4/13/2015

What will mortgage interest rates do tomorrow? Mortgage professionals are voting in our daily poll. Trading on Mondays has almost come to a full halt. There aren't any big events scheduled today, fortunately the rest of the week will prove to be more exciting. MBS have been in positive territory today and treasuries sold off overnight.

Check back Tuesday for March retail sales; Wednesday there is the NY Fed Manufacturing Survey and NAHB housing market index; Thursday there will be the Weekly Jobless Claims Report, March housing starts, and the Phily Fed Business survey; Friday there will be the Consumer Price Index and the Consumer Sentiment Report.

Friday: Import and export prices did not have a strong effect on MBS. Export prices increased by 0.1%, which surpassed expectations of a 0.2% decline. Import prices fell in line with predictions; they decreased by 0.3%. MBS remain relatively unchanged this week and have been stable overall this year.
