Can rates move even lower, and will they do so anytime soon? Possibly! But it's just as likely that they will inch higher if only temporary. The current level was unthinkable only a few short months ago, so locking in now makes sense for most. But, for those gamblers betting on even lower rates --you might be right, and it'll pay off.
